
Michael B. Jordan, Rick Ross, Karrueche Tran and More Join Ludacris and Friends for the 11th Annual Ludaday Weekend
Atlanta, GA. 8 September 2016 – This past weekend, actor, rapper and philanthropist, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, held his 11th annual Luda Day Weekdend, in Atlanta, GA. From charitable events to star-studded outings, Chris pulled out all the stops, making this a weekend to remember. Thursday evening was the official kick-off, with guests attending the BMI Awards. Hosted by Chris Tucker, the evening was dedicated to legendary singer and songwriter, Toni Braxton. Luda and cast mate Tyrese were there to show their support, as well as many other artists such as Rae Sremmurd, Ledisi, Yolanda Adams, Birdman and more. |
Early Friday morning, The Ludacris Foundationwelcomed the Luda Day group to a fun game of golf at The Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club in Hampton, GA. After many attempted hits it was the Swift Services LLC. team who was victorious. Following golf, Luda held his highly anticipated evening bowling event at Bowlmor Lanes, that brought out the “who’s who” of the city and special invited guests such as Michael B. Jordan, Lance Gross, Terrence J, Tahiryand Laura Govan… to name a few. As the teams faced off head to head, it was team ASCAP that took home the trophy, and a check for an organization of their choice. |
Sunday, The Ludacris Foundationselected a group of 25 teens to have a private brunch, where the attendees can gain insight and knowledge for being successful, as well as share stories with some of Luda’s best celebrity friends. Following Brunch, Luda and friends suited up for the most popular event; the annual celebrity basketball game. This year, held at Morehouse College Forbes Arena, team Luda and the “Boss” himself, Rick Ross and MMG, battled it out on the court for bragging rights at the Luda Day Celebrity Basketball Game powered by Fresh Empire. Breakthrough pop group, June’s Diary, opened up the game singing the Black National Anthem. Celebs and athletes such as DC Young Fly, the Gonzalez Twins and Laura Govan were Team Luda and Lou Williams, Metta World Peace, Matt Barnes and Adrien Broner was Team MMG, with Team MMG taking home the Win. |

Following Sunday’s basketball match up, all guests were invited to join Ludacris and the Ludacris Foundation and co-host Kent Bazemore of the ATL Hawks and the Arms Foundation to take a swing on the tees at Topgolf’s Midtown Atlanta location, for a private party. Celebrities, athletes, VIP’s and all local & out-of-town guests enjoyed an evening of music, food, mingling and most of all – golfing, on their plush 3-level driving range. |

On Monday, Luda and friends wrapped up an amazing weekend with his all-white day party, hosted by Ludacris and hip hop star 50Cent at Atlanta’s premier nightclub, Compound. “I really enjoyed taking over ATL this weekend with all of my friends as they continue to support my Ludacris Foundation efforts. I hope to not only continue to grow this weekend, but awareness and funding for ur mission as we provide resources for in-need youth”, Ludacris stated.
