Upon arriving to CHOA, patients were gifted a special present while having a chance to meet and take a picture with Tip. Following CHOA, Tip and the caravan traveled to Dismas Charities (a halfway house that gives men and women releasing from state and federal incarceration the skills and motivation to re-enter society as contributing members), to visit youth with incarcerated parents. Tip felt it was important to visit this facility and give back to the families because of his personal experience of spending holidays there after his previous misstep. “I myself spent a Christmas here, fresh out of prison,” Tip said. “I know what it feels like to not be able to spend Christmas with your kids.” Wrapping up Grand Hustle’s day of giving back, Tip popped up at the Azalea Gardens Apartment Homes to surprise ten single-mother families with Christmas gifts for their children. One specific mother in need was gifted 6-months rent from Tip, which he paid on the spot. “I’m ecstatic to be in a position to give back. It was awesome to see smiles on so many children’s faces,” Tip stated. From bikes to the best gaming consoles, Tip made sure to spread joy for all he visited.
